Went for Biobiz 2008 today. I've gotta say it was an eye-opener in more ways than one.

Eye-opener 1: Our dear friends Lao Guan and Tan Jian Liang actually were part of the ORGANIZING COMMITTEE?! Tjl was even the CHAIR of Logistic!!! My god!! These slackers of yesteryears are actually now so onz about stuff like that? I can hardly believe my eyes when I saw their names! Later, Lao Guan revealed to me the reason behind them taking this up but I shall keep that a secret and give them the due credit they deserve hahaha


Eye-opener 2: 'Researchers' dancing some crazy dance on stage, totally irrelevant. Wonder why they included this dumb segment

Eye-opener 3: Cameraman from CNA filmed us! I mean, this is not the first time I happen to be seated at the seats directly in front of the cameraman at some major conference/event but I duno why its happening so frequently these days wahaha

Eye-opener 4: Some weird photographer kept taking weird photographs of people at the fair. He attempted to take a closeup direct shot of me when I was drinking coffee!!! I mean, if you wanna take a photo of me when I'm paying attention during the panel speech, then that's fine, by all means. Why the hell when I'm drinking coffee!!!!!

I'll update more when I can think of more eye openers.

The whole thing is indeed a huge eye opener.. though the whole thing seems dominated by small players who want research manpower and big players who want manufacturing manpower. So sad. I think I might just stick to the public sector after all.

So I haven't updated in ages cos I'm so damn bloody busy! My mentor wants me to finish my first draft by this month and I'm still left with discussion, conclusion, abstract, acknowledgement, content page! So dead, me. Sigh.

And JHU just sent their acceptance. However, its really such a dilemma man... the research there is so so so so attractive. Yet the place is so so so boring and I know I'm a person who cannot be bored. I'll just die. And I'll so so so so miss my family. My dad, my mum, my bro, my dearest grandma who's 74 this year. How much will they age in 5-6 years? My parents' hair would have turned white. More wrinkles on their faces. Somehow, they just look more fragile and it seems like they need me more than I need them now. Can I bear to leave them for 5 years? Yet, if I'm unable to sacrifice this for this amazing research opportunity, what great things will I be able to accomplish?


Such a dilemma.

If I get AGS, I will go overseas for just 2 years. Enough to give me a global perspective, yet not too long. The minus point would be the bond. And the pay. But then again, not many research facilities in Singapore other than Astar anyway. So I might end up working in Astar after I graduate anyway. If I don't take this up now and if I end up working in Astar in future, its such a waste in terms of opportunities cos I will go slower in my career without AGS.

NUS? Should I just go NUS? Pay is better. But research wise, should it be ok? I'm not sure. No overseas experience at all. Sigh sigh sigh

Shall think about this later.

武林盟主 also has this slightly straight slightly crooked sexuality. At times when the Estrogen triumphs, she preys on hot guys. Other times when the Testosterone levels peak, she preys on hot girls. Some say that is a side effect of the 葵花宝典. Her doctors are still working to establish that.

Many say she's invincible. But that's not true. Bring a DURIAN in front of her, and she will ditch her sword and raise the white flag. She's still desperately trying to master the 闭气功ŠŸ so she can overcome this weakness.
